Free Baby Booties pattern from MYLA

 Hello friends, crafty world, followers,

This is definitely something new for me - to start a blog (I've tried to start few times before, every time I was always too shy to publish and stopped in the middle) - but i think it's time for me to try something new again this time and time to face my fears of blogging!

First, I really wanted to thank to all of my knitters who follow me, who like my work, who offer test knitting, advice, feedback, comments, and critique, ask questions - I want you to know that without you and your input, all of my creativity and designs are just drafts that would be sitting in the dusty basement in boxes - so THANK YOU!

I exist as a knitting designer only because of you - you give me courage, inspiration, encouragement, sometimes even ideas (for example, my first big hit "Leave-Me-Not" mitts were born only when one of the knitters on FB asked me if i could design something with the leaf on the top of the mitten - I still, to the this day, thankful for her asking me to do so!) . You push me to be and do better with my knitting patterns and my creative process.

Hope you will like these booties design I am posting for free here today.

NOTES REGARDING YARN:

My advice is not to use the acrylic blends - they don't stretch (although may be super cute and soft for babies feet). The best material I found is either alpaca or merino or merino with cashmere - sorry, it's pricey, I know, but the product is so tiny that you will see you will not need a lot of yarn, and it's very much worth it for your precious tiny feet!

May I suggest - an amazing, kind and great quality yarn by my dear friend, Erica from Hampden Hills Alpacas - who are raising these beautiful alpacas. I've made so many things with her yarn - and I didn't want to sell or give any of them away - i kept them all of myself and my kids:) It's a true luxury for your hands to work with this yarn!

NOTE: if you’re casting on different number of stitches, just make sure it’s even number
